POINTER BROTHER BLASTS CREMATION CONTROVERSY

LATEST: Tragic JUNE POINTER's brother has blasted his sister BONNIE for going public with allegations the family cremated the POINTER SISTERS star against her dying wishes.

Bonnie appeared on US news show ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT last night (04MAY06), claiming her siblings ignored the SLOW HAND singer's desperate last wishes to be buried because "they couldn't afford to bury her in a regular grave".

But brother AARON insists Bonnie is misinformed.

In a statement, he says, "June had no end of life statement as to what would become of her remains and that cremation was a family consensus."

Aaron is also upset by sister Bonnie's claims she was forbidden to ride in the family car at June's funeral last month (APR06).

He insists she was told she wasn't invited to ride with him and her other siblings after selling a story about June to a US tabloid the day before the cremation.

Pointer lost her battle with cancer on 14 April (06).
