MAURY POVICH SUED BY PRODUCER

Beloved US talk show host MAURY POVICH is being sued by a disgruntled producer, who claims the environment she was expected to work in was bawdy and full of

BIANCA NARDI also alleges the workplace was "permeated with the use of alcohol and pornographic videos".

In legal papers, filed yesterday (24APR06) in New York, Nardi also claims that Povich had an "intimate and sexual relationship" with a member of staff, which created hostilities in the workplace, which became "sexually abusive" to women.

The producer alleges she was forced to expose her breasts and have them photographed on the show. She also claims she was directed to "tape the chests of female guests... in order to photograph them with large boobs".

Nardi is seeking a total of $40 million (GBP22.8 million) in damages and punitive damages.

A spokesman for Povich's daily NBC/Universal show tells entertainment news website TMZ.com, "We have done a complete and thorough investigation of the allegations of harassment and we are satisfied that there is no merit to them."
