POISON frontman BRETT MICHAELS will step in front of the cameras later this year (06) in a film based on his wild life.
The movie, which is tentatively entitled BETWEEN A ROSE AND A THORN, will begin production after the band wraps up their tour this year (06).
Michaels explains, "I've been working on this for two years.
"I'm not going to play the star. I'm going to play the personal assistant who watches this guy's life."
The singer decided to write and produce the film himself because "otherwise they're just going to typecast me".
He adds, "I get offers for the same part... it's always the tattooed biker rocker bad guy.
"After a while you have to take a chance and step out."
