ROBIN RED-FACED BY STRIP CLUB MISTAKE

ROBIN WILLIAMS has some explaining to do after finding himself in a New York strip club in a desperate attempt to escape a blizzard.

The movie star believed the place was a bar and wandered in to escape the storm and the chilly night, only to find himself staring at naked dancers.

Williams made a fast exit but not before he was spotted by one dancer who sold her story to the local newspaper.

The actor says, "I started riffing a little and then I left because I realised, 'You're 54, my friend... This is not good.' I thought because there was a complete blizzard, that it would never make the press... That's in the category of 'never assume'.

"The first day it (the story) wasn't in, I went, 'Oh, phew... OK.' And then it was out on Valentine's Day, which is always good. That's good for relations on the home front."
