HATCHER HAPPY ABOUT NON-SEXY ROLES

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star TERI HATCHER is thrilled she's not getting sexy roles anymore, because she prefers playing the ''girl next door''.

The actress relishes the chance to play real, accessible characters, instead of being typecast in glamorous roles.

She explains, "For me now, the glamorous, confident b**ch is a reach.

"That's why I love the comedy in my role as SUSAN MAYER. She's open, and she's real.

"When I was younger, I was considered very sexy. I even got the Bond Girl role.

"But I was never cast as 'the girl next door', and now I am. I am so grateful for that change."
