GLITTER TO FACE JAIL SENTENCE IN BRITAIN

LATEST: Disgraced British rocker GARY GLITTER is set to return to the United Kingdom later this year (06) - where authorities are determined to hit him with sex offence charges.

The shamed singer, real name PAUL GADD, was sentenced to three years behind bars last month (March 06) in Vietnam, but is set to be released on parole in November (06) after being convicted of child molestation charges.

British authorities want to make sure he is sent back to the United Kingdom to face child pornography charges - and to make the 61-year-old criminal an example to other British paedophiles who indulge in 'sex tourism'.

A Home Office insider tells British newspaper the News Of The World, "Our main aim is that this man is not allowed to disappear over the border when he's released. All the agencies are working together to ensure we have the best evidence to secure an extradition warrant."
