DAUGHTER FEELS PAIN OF HOPKINS NEGLECT

SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS's estranged daughter ABIGAIL HOPKINS is haunted by sadness, because the Oscar-winning actor has always failed to give her the support she needs.

The 37-year-old singer/songwriter and actress has not seen or spoken to her father in five years - but she insists she has to carry on with life, and not let her heartbreak destroy her.

And she is upset that he was never there for her as a child, even though she is his only child.

Hopkins says, "I would see him, but maybe once a year. There is a little bit of sadness but I have to get on with my life. It has always been like that. See him, and then not."

Sir Anthony has confessed to his neglect, saying, "I have not been a good husband or a good father."
