HACKFORD TAKES A LEAP OF FAITH ON BROADWAY
Film-maker TAYLOR HACKFORD is heading for the lights of Broadway for the first time to direct a new musical.

The RAY director will make his New York stage debut with LEAP OF FAITH at the end of next year (07).
Based on JANUS CERCONE's book and screenplay, the project is the latest theatrical adaptation of a movie - the 1992 film starred STEVE MARTIN, as a cynical rock star who cons his way across America as an evangelist.
The musical's score will be penned by celebrated composer ALAN MENKEN, whose past projects have included BEAUTY + THE BEAST and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.
