Singer DANIEL POWTER hates being famous because showbusiness is based on extreme vanity.
The BAD DAY singer claims fame and fortune have been less rewarding than the satisfaction he gets from clicking with his audience.
He explains, "Famous people kind of suck.
"A huge part of this business is narcissism, and it's weird focusing on yourself 24/7.
"Believe it or not, it's difficult to be that self-absorbed. Connecting with the audience is a bigger thrill."
