DOUGLAS TAKES STEPS TO AVOID MISQUOTES

MICHAEL DOUGLAS has started recording his own interviews because he's sick of being misquoted in print.

The BASIC INSTINCT star recently blasted GQ magazine after claiming he was misquoted poking fun at BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE's romance in a recent article.

And now he's taking steps to make sure he has evidence to present when he's misquoted in the future.

He says, "Unfortunately, in all these press roundtables I have now started to have my own tape recorder for everything.

"KIM BASINGER will not do print. She only trusts what comes out of her mouth, rather than be interpreted. It's an interesting phenomenon.

"I don't think it's the writer's fault, per se; I think it's always usually the editor who is creating that. But you're gonna see more and more people who either are not gonna do print or will bring their own tape recorders with them."
