JAMIE FOXX is haunted by the spirit of his grandmother ESTELLE TALLEY - who is keeping him a "Southern gentleman" from beyond the grave.
The singer/actor insists his late relative, who raised him when his mother LOUISE was unable, still offers him guidance as he sleeps.
He says, "She would whip me, and after she whipped me, she would talk to me and tell me why she whipped me.
"She said, 'I want you to be a Southern gentleman.' She still talks to me. Only now, she talks to me in my dreams. And I can't wait to go to sleep tonight, because we've got a lot to talk about."
WISH YOU WERE HERE, a song off Foxx's latest album UNPREDICTABLE, is written about his grandmother.
