STEWART'S DIVORCE TO BE FINALISED THIS WEEK

Veteran rocker ROD STEWART will finally be free to wed his fiancee PENNY LANCASTER after this week (begs27MAR06) - his divorce to supermodel RACHEL HUNTER is set to be finalised.

Stewart and Hunter split in 1999 after eight years of marriage, but the New Zealand beauty only filed for divorce in 2003.

After battling over a legal settlement for years, Hunter claims she will be officially single as April begins.

She says, "I should be a free woman by the end of the week."

The couple have two children, RENEE, 13, and LIAM, 11, together.

Stewart became a father for the seventh time in November (05) when Lancaster gave birth to their son ALASTAIR WALLACE.
