LIL' WAYNE GOES BACK TO SCHOOL

Rapper LIL' WAYNE is honouring a promise he made to his mother when he first signed a record deal at 11 - to go back to school.

The former HOT BOYS star has just failed to get a psychology degree after missing out on his finals, but one impressive paper has earned the rap star, real name DWAYNE CARTER, the chance to resit his exams.

He says, "She (mother) let me drop out of school at 11 to sign a contract. Now that I have success and I can do it, I want to make her happy. And I love to learn.

"I got a failing grade because I didn't get to take my finals... but there was this paper that I never turned in that the professor was begging me to turn in.

"So I did the paper, and I got an 81 on it, which is a B. So I get to take the test at the end of the next semester."
