JAGGER'S CLASSICAL ROOTS

Rocker SIR MICK JAGGER is the unlikely descendant of an 18th century classical composer beloved of the British royal family.

CHARLES JAGGER, the ROLLING STONES star's ancestor, was hired to compose the wedding music for the DUKE AND DUCHESS OF KENT, and even named his son JOHANN SEBASTIAN JAGGER, after his favourite composer BACH.

But despite Jagger's lofty musical heritage, experts insist the band will never be tempted to go classical.

Rock critic ANDY GILL says, "To their honour they have never bothered with it.

"They know what they are good at and they stick to it."
