SPECTOR'S TRIAL DELAYED

Legendary producer PHIL SPECTOR's murder trial has been pushed back until September (06) to accommodate the schedules of both prosecution and defence lawyers.

The 66-year-old was due to return to court on 24 April, but one of his attorney's is representing another client in a New York City federal trial which is expected to run past that date.

And two prosecution lawyers have been recruited to take part in the trial of MICHAEL GOODWIN - who is accused of shooting US racing star MICKEY THOMPSON and his wife in 1988 - which is set to start in May.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge LARRY FIDLER has set the new trial date for 11 September.

Spector is accused of murdering actress LANA CLARKSON at his home on 3 February 2003 - he is currently free on $1 million (GBP590,000) bail.
