SHAKIRA'S MOBILE HIT MAKES HISTORY

Sexy Latina SHAKIRA is to become the first pop star to release a single only as a mobile-phone download this week (begs20MAR06).

The Colombian superstar refuses to bring out HIPS DON'T LIE as a CD or internet download and instead the track will only be available to those connected to US mobile network Verizon.

But there are fears fans who are not with Verizon will attempt to steal a pirated version of the song instead.

The download, which is expected to cost $2 (GBP1.15), comes complete with music video and can be transferred to a computer.
