WOODRUFF RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL

LATEST: US TV journalist BOB WOODRUFF has been moved from the hospital to a private care facility, after being seriously injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq, in January (06).

The ABC news anchor was moved from Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland to a private rehabilitation facility closer to his home in New York City.

In a note to staffers Thursday (16MAR06), ABC News Chief DAVID WESTIN said Woodruff is "up and about, regularly talking and joking with (wife) LEE, the children, other family members and - yes - watching the news."
