MISSING DEPP FOOTAGE FOUND

JOHNNY DEPP's minor roll in 1986 movie PLATOON has been extended for the upcoming DVD release, using 10 minutes of newly discovered footage.

The actor played a private in the Oscar-winning film, but most of his performance ended up on the cutting room floor.

Sony Pictures is releasing the 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition and discovered 10 additional minutes featuring Depp after searching their film library.

Sony's MARC RASHBA says, "(Director) OLIVER STONE remembered additional footage he had shot.

"We finally found more than 10 minutes of footage mislabelled in film archives."

The DVD will be released on 30 May (06) and in addition to the new Depp footage, the boxed-set will also include new interviews with Stone and three new documentaries.
