LYDON PROUD OF INSECT SHOW

Filming acclaimed nature series MEGABUGS for the Discovery Channel has given SEX PISTOLS star JOHN LYDON a new respect for creepy-crawlies.

The punk icon is currently trying to sell the project to his adopted America, admitting it was some of the most fascinating work he has ever done.

On the show, Lydon visited jungles and forests around the globe to look for the deadliest and ugliest insects.

He says, "It's bang on the money. It's just me being real. I like to know how things work and I don't like killing anything I won't even kill an ant crawling across a table."

Lydon reveals the show was such a hit in his native Britain that it has now been adopted as part of university studies.

He adds, "These are things that I would normally be spooked about but you see these things in the wild and they're different... It's like being stoned without the joint."
