CROCODILES TERRIFY MCCONAUGHEY

MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY was left swimming from crocodiles in Africa when he took a wrong path on a hike.

The movie star was trekking in Africa four years ago when he found himself neck deep in a river, surrounded by fat crocodiles.

He recalls, "It had rained the night before and I was crossing this path and it went into the water, into the river, and all of a sudden the water was up to my neck.

"That's still no problem, but when you look to the right and you see about 45 crocodiles 20 feet away you can move pretty fast underwater."

McConaughey owes his life to the fact that it was the wet season: "That means their bellies are full... food is plenty, so they weren't looking for McConaughey."
