RONSTADT STALKER HIT WITH COURT ORDER

Terrified singer LINDA RONSTADT has taken out a court order against schizophrenic BERNIE SALAZAR ORTIZ, after suffering years of harassment at his hands.

The injunction was served against Ortiz last week (07MAR06) and bans him from attending any of Ronstadt's shows, contacting her in any way or coming within 305 metres (1,000 feet) of the SIMPLE DREAMS star.

He is also forbidden from sending cards, flowers, packages or any other items.

Ronstadt's nightmare at the hands of Ortiz began in 1997 when he started hounding her and her family.

Ortiz pleaded guilty to attempted stalking in May 1998, and received probation - but he was subsequently jailed until November 1999 for violating his probation by continuing his harassment.
