Funnyman STEVE MARTIN is praying his new movie PINK PANTHER will be a success at the box office, because he's desperate to star in a sequel.
STEVE MARTIN in 'the Pink Panther'
The 60-year-old Texan actor stars as INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU in the detective comedy remake - a part made famous by British comedian PETER SELLERS in the 1963 original.
If the new movie is a hit, producers will consider re-making other Pink Panther movies including THE RETURN OF THE PINK PANTHER, THE PINK PANTHER STRIKES AGAIN and REVENGE OF THE PINK PANTHER.
Martin says, "Let's say that my heart is with The Pink Panther film and that I hope it will work so I can become Clouseau again.
"I love the character, I love the clothes and I have plenty ideas to keep him going."
