IS SPEARS PREGNANT?

Singer BRITNEY SPEARS is three months pregnant with her second child, according to press reports in America.

Speculation has been growing that Spears and husband KEVIN FEDERLINE are expanding their family - less than six months after the birth of their first child SEAN PRESTON.

American publication Star claims the TOXIC singer blurted out the news to a fellow spa goer at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort in Maui, Hawaii, while they were relaxing in the sauna together.

The singer had lost much of the 50 pounds (23 kilograms) she gained while pregnant last year (05), but recent photographs have exposed her unusually rounded mid-section, fuelling rumours she is expecting again.

According to the magazine, the 24-year-old is near the end of her first trimester and found out she was pregnant in early January (06).

Spears was photographed on Tuesday (07MAR06) in a bikini and made no effort to hide her clearly protruding stomach.

Representatives for the star say, "As far as we're aware, Britney is not pregnant."
