GLITTER EARNING THOUSANDS BEHIND BARS
Disgraced British rocker GARY GLITTER will earn $3,400 (GBP2000) a week while he is in prison, thanks to a salary from the London-based publishing firm he owns.
The ROCK AND ROLL PART TWO star, who has been sentenced to three years in jail after being found guilty of sexually abusing two young girls last week (03MAR06), owns 99 per cent of music-publishing giant Machmain.
The 61-year-old is also earning staggering amounts of interest on a seven-figure deal he struck just months before being arrested for possession of child pornography in 1997, British newspaper the Sunday Express reports.
