MORRISSEY INSPIRED BY EAVESDROPPING

Former THE SMITHS frontman MORRISSEY never leaves home without at least five notebooks, because he finds lyrical inspiration by listening to other people's conversations.

The EVERY DAY IS LIKE SUNDAY hitmaker has no moral issues with recording what strangers say, because reporters do it to him all the time.

He says, "I never carry less than five (notebooks). I'm a dreadful eavesdropper.

"Every time people speak to me I see it written down."
