SINGER HYLTON BANNED FOR DRINK-DRIVING
British pop singer JAVINE HYLTON has been banned from driving for 18 months after being caught at the wheel having drunk more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.
Hylton, who shot to fame on UK talent show POPSTARS: THE RIVALS and represented Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest last year (05), was spotted by police with passengers swigging vodka from a bottle while driving through London's Piccadilly Circus.
The 24-year-old was also fined $1,700 (GBP1,000) at the British capital's Bow Street court, and agreed to cut her ban by three months by attending a rehabilitation course.
