The BANGLES star SUSANNA HOFFS and cult singer/songwriter MATTHEW SWEET have teamed up to become the new SONNY and CHER with a new duets album.
The odd couple are longtime friends and they're now paying tribute to their favourite 1960s hits on a new covers album.
It's not the first time Sweet and Hoffs have played together: they were both members of spoof AUSTIN POWERS group MING TEA.
Their new album, UNDER THE COVERS VOL 1, will be released in April (06), and feature retro pop favourites like SHE MAY CALL YOU UP TONIGHT and BOB DYLAN's IT'S ALL OVER NOW, BABY BLUE.
The album also features covers from THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES, LOVE, NEIL YOUNG, the BEACH BOYS and VELVET UNDERGROUND.
