Chilling thriller DE BATTRE MON COEUR S'EST ARRETE was named Best Film at France's Lumiere Awards on Tuesday night (21FEB06).

ROMAIN DURIS picked up the Best Actor gong for his performance in JACQUES AUDIARD's adaptation of the 1978 American movie FINGERS, which was named Best Foreign-Language Film at the BAFTA Awards in London on Sunday night (19FEB06).
PATRICE CHEREAUS won the Best Director honour for GABRIELLE, and his leading lady ISABELLE HUPPERT was crowned Best Actress.
The Lumieres are regarded as the French equivalent of the Golden Globes, with the Cesars - the French Oscars - taking place on Saturday (25FEB06). De Battre Mon Coeur S'est Arrete is nominated in 10 categories.
