KEVIN FEDERLINE has attacked the media's "unfair" portrayal of him, insisting wife BRITNEY SPEARS would never tolerate the marijuana-smoking abusive husband he is made out to be.
The dancer-turned-rapper is baffled by the way the American press has turned on him since the birth of baby SEAN PRESTON last year (05).
Federline says, "'He hates his children, he treats his wife like dirt, he gets high all day. If I was that bad, you think anyone, let alone Britney, would put up with it?"
Despite his negative press, Federline insists his forthcoming album - due for release in the spring - will be a success without his famous wife's help.
He says, "We have collaborated. But I'm not going to put the songs on this album because it's like, 'Respect me first; then I'll show you what I've done with my wife.'"
