SECURITY STEPPED UP FOR STONES' RIO SHOW

LATEST: The ROLLING STONES' free concert in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, today (18FEB06) has sparked a massive security operation - over 6,000 military police have been brought in to keep order.

The city's infamous slums, known as favelas, will be occupied by police until tomorrow (19FEB06) morning, while more than 2,000 officers will patrol the beach.

The ONE NIGHT ONLY Copacabana Beach concert is expected to attract more than two million people.
