SUGABABES UPSET OVER BRITS SNUB

British pop trio SUGABABES are upset they have not been nominated in the Best Pop Act category at Wednesday's (15FEB06) Brit Awards, because they don't perceive the nominees as pop.

The HOLE IN THE HEAD stars are up for Best British Single for PUSH THE BUTTON, but were shocked to see their names omitted from the pop category, which includes easy listening singer KATIE MELUA.

Singer HEIDI RANGE, 22, says, "I'm surprised we've not been nominated. It would've been nice as we are a pop band after all.

"I was shocked that McFLY weren't in the category either and it's JAMES BLUNT and Katie Melua. Maybe they've changed the way of doing things."
