SIZEMORE VOWS TO BEAT METHAMPHETAMINES

LATEST: Actor TOM SIZEMORE is confident he will beat his addiction to methamphetamine, and insists admitting he has a problem is a sure sign of recovery.

The 44-year-old actor was sentenced to three months probation on Thursday (09FEB06), after testing positive for the substance on 23 January. He now faces narcotics tests every three days.

In an upcoming interview with US TV show THE BIG IDEA WITH DONNY DEUTSCH, the star insists he is seeking help for his drug demons.

He says, "I didn't want to tell the truth initially, but I thought, 'This is that moment where you're either starting to get it or not get it. It's called surrender.'"

"Once you (acknowledge) it, there's a great relief, because now you've started the first step in this horror show for mending."
