The co-creator of the CURIOUS GEORGE cartoons has died in Florida just days before the feature film version of his TV show hits cinemas.
ALAN SHALLECK, 76, was found dead outside his home on Tuesday (07FEB06). Police are treating the death as a possible homicide.
Hid bloody body had been wrapped in garbage bags and dumped in the driveway of his mobile home, where it was left for a day before an electrician discovered it.
The Curious George film, which features the voices of DREW BARRYMORE and WILL FERRELL, debuts in America on Friday (10FEB06).
Shalleck was the writer and director of more than 100 short episodes of the cartoon Curious George, based on the books by HA REY and his wife MARGARET, which aired on the Disney Channel.
