BLAKE FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY
Actor ROBERT BLAKE has filed for bankruptcy following last year's (05) civil court case which found he "intentionally caused" the death of his wife.
The BARETTA star was ordered to pay BONNY LEE BAKLEY's children $30 million (GBP16.6 million) in damages, despite being acquitted in a criminal court in March of murdering his late wife.
Blake listed the $30 million in damages, a $1.3 million (GBP720,000) federal tax bill and a $334,337 (GBP185,742) state tax assessment as his major debts when he filed for bankruptcy at a Los Angeles court yesterday (03FEB06).
Legal papers estimate Blake's assets amount to $600,000 (GBP330,000).
