GARY GLITTER IS BEING HELD FOR CHILD MOLESTATION

Former Rock Star Gary Glitter is being held for child abuse in Vietnam.

Former British rock star Gary Glitter is facing up to seven years in jail for possible rape charges including girls of 11 and 12 in Vietnam. As The Bangkok Post reports on entertainment.iafrica.com Glitter (61) is being held, although there’s no trial date set, yet - he could be in court as early as the end of this month. The paper also said that before prosecutors decided not to file child rape charges after physical evidence proved doubtful. Apparently, the girls' parents wrote letters to the court asking for mercy after Glitter paid $2000 for each family. Glitter was already arrested in 1997 in the UK after hard-core child pornography being found in his home. He was convicted of possession of pornography and served two months in jail in 1999. Then, he left the UK and went to live in Vietnam.
