GEORGE CLOONEY BECOMES A STAR OF POLITICS

George Clooney gets serious about his political attempts.

Handsome film star George Clooney is getting noticed not just for his acting, but also for his political involvement in the United States. He first raised his voice about the Iraqi war criticizing the Bush administration for what he calls “a mistaken approach to understanding terrorists”. Then, he got involved working on world anti-poverty campaigns and lobbied officials at the G8 summit in Scotland in July of 2005. The two recent movies he made have also political essence; “Good Night, and Good Luck," was written and directed by Clooney himself. The film is a silhouette of a news organization standing up to Senator Joseph McCarthy's anti-communist rampage five decades ago. The second movie in which he starred as a CIA agent is called "Syriana"; a glance at the complex links between Arab oil, U.S. foreign and domestic policy and intelligence. What Clooney likes the most is the new turn about his image. He thinks, instead of everyone caring about with whom he's currently dating, his words about his movies and political efforts are finally heard. Simply, they start to take him seriously.
