R+B and hip-hop rule the US charts as three heavyweights crash into the year-end album chart.
MARY J BLIGE scores her third number one album with THE BREAKTHROUGH, which sold a staggering 727,000 copies over Christmas (05), while Oscar winner JAMIE FOXX's UNPREDICTABLE crashes in at number two and the late NOTORIOUS BIG's DUETS: THE FINAL CHAPTER debuts at three.
Foxx's album sold an impressive 598,000 while Notorious BIG's new CD shifted 438,000 copies.
Last week's Christmas number one album, EMINEM's CURTAIN CALL, falls to number four, while AMERICAN IDOL winner CARRIE UNDERWOOD's SOME HEARTS hangs onto a top five position at five.
