HEWITT MEETS WITH EX

I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER star JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT had an awkward moment last week (ends16DEC05) - she was interviewed by her ex-boyfriend CARSON DALY.

Hewitt, who dated the former MTV personality from 1997 to 1999, appeared on Daly's talk show to promote her new TV programme GHOST WHISPERER, and the actress and host spent the on-air chat revisiting their ill-fated romance.

To break the ice, Daly joked, "I don't want it to be weird for you, but I think it's important that I say this: I think it's about time we start seeing other people... I just feel like the time's right."

Daly, who was once engaged to TARA REID, also showed Hewitt that he'd replaced her name, which was tattooed on his ankle, with an image of a crab coming out of a switchblade.

He added, "I did it once, but there was no way on God's green earth I was going to write the word Tara anywhere on my body."

After Daly questioned Hewitt about her current love life and discovered she was single, the former couple took a compatibility test and learned they were 92 per cent compatible.

Hewitt concluded the chat telling Daly, "No matter what happened, I was a really good girlfriend to you, and you were a great boyfriend."
