MICHAEL ATTRIBUTES SUCCESS TO DAD'S LACK OF INTEREST

Singer GEORGE MICHAEL attributes his phenomenal success to the lack of belief his father placed in his talents before he became famous.

The FAITH star received very few words of encouragement from his father JACK PANOS while growing up in the London suburb of Edgware.

The 42-year-old says, "But you know, a lot of people with a childhood like (mine) turn it to their advantage. The fact I had my father as an adversary was such a powerful tool to work with.

"I subconsciously fought him to the degree that I drove me to be one of the most successful musicians in the world."
