MARIAH CAREY MAKES NEW YEAR'S EVE HISTORY IN NEW YORK

MARIAH CAREY will kick off 2006 in style with a live performance in New York City's Times Square as part of TV show DICK CLARK's NEW YEAR'S ROCKIN' EVE.

The pop superstar will join HILARY DUFF, SEAN PAUL and the PUSSYCAT DOLLS in ringing in the New Year in New York and Los Angeles.

Carey's performance will mark the first time in the history of Clark's annual show that producers have lined up a live performance in Times Square.
