John Mayer's is tried of his own sound, acoustic guitar. He wants something different and original. His new love is the Blues. His new role model is Jimi Hendrix, no more James Taylor and most of all he wants his fans to love the Blues as much as he does. John envies Eric Clapton because he already plays the Blues and people love him. Mayer's other music passions are soul and funk. He just came out with a Live Musical concert CD, this CD portrays Mayers journey with his music for the last year. He has been on the road playing like Ray Charles songs like "I Got a Woman", according to MSN News. Even if John is bored with his past music he still has very dedicated fans, that love all his chosen lyrics and sounds. He has been surprising his fans in each concert with some songs in the Blues and he has had a positive response. He is so excited!
