A PARTY FOR KATRINA VICTIMS AND ARETHA

Aretha threw a party for the Katrina refugees at local hotel near where Aretha lives.

Aretha Franklin gave a party for the hurricane victims to lift their spirits. She had lots home-cooked soul food and shared her memories of her times partying in New Orleans. The celebration was held at a suburban hotel. Aretha lives near the hotel and decided to meet with the refugees from New Orleans and make a celebration. It went so well the first party that she organizing another get together later in the week. Franklin is hoping other celebrities will come and join in the festivities. Aretha also signed lots of autographs and took pictures with many of refugees. She even performed for them a few songs. Few guests that were there at the party thanked her for her generosity and were very excited meeting her.
