UMA EXPRESSES HERSELF ON OPRAH

Uma Thurman talks about her divorce to Ethan Hawke on national t.v.

Oprah had a cozy seat for Uma to sit and share nationally her turmoil over her divorce in August with Ethan Hawke. They were married for five years and had two children together. Uma was surprised how easily it was to open up on national television. In August she stayed strong for the kids, for herself, for everyone. Now sitting with Oprah she was finally letting go of all the anguish she stuffed inside. Those emotions were still very raw over breaking up with the man she was planning to love for the rest of her life. Uma was finally discovering that she needs to let it all out and then move on. Oprah's questions were gentle probing to continue the process of grief that Uma was finally releasing. She told Oprah's live audience that Ethan and her are trying to resolve the hurt feelings and darkness of their relationship, for themselves and for the kids. But it was a slow and dreary process. Ethan and Uma's relationship is very fragile, so there is not much kindness in their words to one another yet. Hopefully someday, Uma prays.
