ROALD DAHL & THE GOLDEN TICKET

Roald Dahl still lives on lively through his wonderful tale Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Roald Dahl was the eccentric, gripping, and surprising storyteller. His stories were so superb that filmmakers wanted to make them on the big screen. Dahl’s book “Charlie & the Chocolate Factory” was fun and spell bounding this time around with the help of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton as director. Johnny Depp is the nutty Willy Wonka who promises five children a tour of his chocolate factory if they have the golden ticket. The first Willy Wonka that was made, Dahl was very disappointed. The filmmaker made it seem as a dark and depressing movie. But the Willy Wonka book sold more copies then Harry Potter books. Dahl has a way of capturing his audience like no other storyteller. Every scene in his books brings you closer to the reality of the object, place, or thing. So, when Tim Burton wanted to create Willy Wonka again. Tim Burton is not the only filmmaker that craved to work with Dahl; there have been many others that love his whimsical stories. Here are a few of Dahl’s famous books that were made into movies, “James and the Giant Peach” or “Matilda”. Filmmakers can never go wrong with Dahl’s books, if they are making lots of money then the movie most likely will be a hit, too.
