Martha has been in confinement for several months and she is being set free this week.
Martha will be set free this coming week unless she makes trouble with her probation officer. But most likely she will remain a good citizen. Just five months ago she was released from prison and sent to confinement in her residence. She even wore an electronic anklet. She had to wear the electronic anklet all the time. Martha will remain on probation until March of 2007. The difference between probation and confinement is she free to move about and go wherever as long as she does not leave the country. Confinement to her home she was only allowed to leave for career related things and her time limit per week was 48 hours. She did violate her confinement a couple of times and received longer confinement of three weeks. Her company is excited to not have to work around limits that her confinement caused. Despite her confinement Martha has kept busy on several projects: Martha Stewart Living magazine and her two TV shows that are coming up. She is not so happy with her story of being in prison-- CBS TV movie acted by Cybil Shepherd called, “Martha Behind Bars”.
