CROWE MESSED UP

Russell Crowe got angry and hit a hotel employee.

Crowe was staying at a Manhattan hotel in June with his wife and they wanted to make a call home to Australia to talk with their son. They tried to make the phone call at 4 a.m. The telephone was broken and Crowe began agitated with the phone and threw it. The phone hit concierge Nestor Estrada. The hotel employee was struck in the face. Both sides of the settlement were satisfied. There were no details of the settlement disclosed. According to Associated Press, Russell Crowe publicly apologized on the “Late Show with David Letterman” shortly after the incident, this is what he said “possibly the most shame situation that I’ve ever gotten myself in my life, and I’ve done some pretty dumb things in my life.” Crowe’s charges are 2nd degree assault and 4th degree possession of a weapon (the telephone). His court date September 14.
